ANN WIGMORE WHEATGRASS
PIONEER—LIVING FOOD EDUCATOR by Loretta Harmony Kohn
Ann Wigmore was born March 4,
1909 in Lithuania. She died in a fire in her home the 16th of
February 1994. This great lady probably did more than any other
person in recent history to educate people about the healing
benefits of wheatgrass and a living food diet. [a diet of raw
sprouts, fruits and vegetables, and sprouted nuts, seeds, and
grains.]
I called Ann Wigmore “Doctor” in respect to her
pioneering quest to help both herself and others. She dedicated her
life to helping others. Her holistic manner of teaching is much too
advanced for the medical profession. Only those who saw beyond the
rough exterior of an immigrant forging her way through the snakepit
of advancing disease and decay of the American way of life can
attest to her truths.
Dr. Ann always professed that
deficiency and toxemia are the causes of all disease. Cleanse the
body and it will heal itself. She has given many more
opportunity for survival and self-improvement than any one. Her
faith in God and people has strengthened many's own
religion.

Dr. Ann
Wigmore did pioneering work in assisting the body to heal
itself.
Through the
American eating habits Dr. Ann Wigmore developed cancer
of the colon, arthritis, hernia, migraine headaches, blood
poisoning, depression and gray hair by the time she was fifty.
She knew that the only thing to do was to turn back to nature.
Gradually Dr. Ann Wigmore developed the Living Foods
Lifestyle and returned to nature. It took her about three
years to regain her health. Over her lifetime Dr. Ann
Wigmore improved the Living Food Lifestyle which meant
others were able to regain health in only several months
rather than several years. |

| Dr. Ann Wigmore is the author of
numerous Ann Wigmore books and courses which are all available
even after her death at the age of 83 in a fire. A video taken
of her three months before her death shows a woman in her
eighties moving about like a young woman--limber, energetic,
and intellectually sharp.

The International Raw Foods Association
views Ann Wigmore as the "Mother of the modern Raw Foods Movement"
and has given her their highest award...the Golden Branch
Award!
